INTERUNIS 2023

Cambridge Gliding Centre

AIRFIELD LAYOUT

GRL has 3 runways and 2 additional landable areas. Upon entering the gravel track and reaching the first windsock, please turn right along the entrance track.

CAMPING AREA AND FACILITIES

The main clubhouse has one gents', one ladies' and one disabled toilet. The camping area is to the west of the clubhouse. At the back, there is a block with 4 showers and 4 toilets. Next to it is the block of accommodation for instructors.

AIRCRAFT PITCHING

The orange area can be used to pitch 2-seaters overnight, but the area is part of an active runway and must be cleared before daily operations. You will see other gliders pitched alongside, but those are paid-for spots by full members of Cambridge Gliding Centre.

All trailers as well as aircraft which might not be used every morning should be pitched in the green areas below.

Within the 27 ‘cut-out’: close to the clubhouse and convenient.

Between the 04 and 09 thresholds: if all above-mentioned locations are full.

LOCAL AIRSPACE

There are two airfields near us: Little Gransden and Bourn Airfield. In our MOU with Little Gransden, we are not to cross over the road separating the two airfields below 1300 ft. When the aerobatics box is activated, it must be avoided to 3000 ft.
